2024 Top MLB Players

There are so many great players in baseball, making the sport fun to watch. Acuna, Jr. might be the best all-around player and is coming off a historic season. Cleveland’s José Ramirez is a top player despite being part of a bad team. Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers will benefit from playing with top player Shohei Ohtani. Yordan Álvarez of the Astros is one of the game’s top sluggers.

A sleeper is Corbin Carroll. The Diamondbacks outfielder made history as a rookie last year by hitting at least 25 home runs and stealing 50 bases. Though the team may struggle, Bobby Witt Jr. of Kansas City is a bona fide star. Last year, he became only the fifth player in history to have at least 30 home runs and 49 stolen bases.

On the mound, there’s plenty of talent to go around. Spencer Strider is probably the best in the game. The Atlanta Brave is just in his third year. He struck out 36.8% of batters he faced, the fourth-best ever rate. In Arizona, Zac Gallen helped lead the Diamondbacks to a World Series appearance.

In the American League, Luis Castillo of Seattle is a true ace, and he’s playing in a pitching-friendly stadium. Kevin Gausman of Toronto is about as reliable as they get. In the last three seasons, he’s had at least 30 starts.

2024 Top MLB Teams

The Atlanta Braves remain one of the top teams in the National League. They’ve added top talent, including All-Star pitcher Chris Sale and young outfielder Jarred Kelenic. They also return most of the same team from last year. NL MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. is back and is a real threat to win it again. Last season, he was the first player to reach 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases in a single season. Look for the Braves to win their seventh straight NL East title and make noise in the playoffs.

Right behind them is the Philadelphia Phillies. Reigning star pitchers Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola keep their rotation at the league’s top.

In the off-season, the Los Angeles Dodgers went on a historic spending spree. They added two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani and top Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, not to mention Teoscar Hernández in the outfield and relief pitchers Joe Kelly and Ryan Brasier. They also acquired top pitcher Tyler Glasnow from the Rays. Ultimately, it’s predicted that the team will play well this year.

The reigning NL champion Arizona Diamondbacks will also be in the hunt. Adding Eugenio Suárez to start at third base will help, as will pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez.

In the American League, the Baltimore Orioles are the team on the rise. They acquired star pitcher Corbin Burnes and added legendary closer Craig Kimbrel. They will be powered by their enviable pool of young talent, with top prospect Jackson Holliday on the cusp of regular play.

The Yankees have the best one-two offensive duo in baseball, with Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. The big question, though, will be the rotation.

In the West, the Houston Astros are always a contender. Adding relief pitcher Josh Hader adds to an already powerful bullpen. The reigning champion Texas Rangers will also be in the mix. They shored up their bullpen by signing veterans David Robertson and Kirby Yates. They are relying on rookies Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford to produce.

How to Wager on MLB Teams

Betting on MLB teams isn’t just about picking the World Series winner. There are other ways to bet on how teams will perform throughout the season. One popular way is to bet on whether a team will win more or fewer games than what experts predict for them.

For example, if you think a team will do better than expected because they have strong players or good strategies, you might bet that they’ll win more games than predicted. On the other hand, if a team is dealing with injuries or changes that might hurt their performance, you might bet that they’ll win fewer games than expected.

But there’s more to MLB betting than just that. You can also make proposition bets on things like how many times a team’s pitchers will strike out opponents during the season, or how many players from a team will make it to the All-Star game. These kinds of bets add extra excitement to following baseball, giving fans more ways to enjoy the game and test their knowledge.

Whether you’re making long-term bets for the season or getting into the action with daily bets on specific events, MLB betting has something for everyone to get excited about throughout the baseball season.
