Circa Sports is Betting Big on NFL Handicapping Contests by Erik Gibbs of Gambling News
“Circa Sports has two huge sports betting contests now running ahead of the NFL season and hopes that it sees a lot more interest over the course of the next two weeks. The contests have a total prize pool of $10 million to be awarded; however, response so far has been slow and the book would end up paying over $7 million out of its own pocket if the contests ended today. Todd Dewey of the Las Vegas Review-Journal highlights the contests, with Circa adding that it’s optimistic more participation will be seen between now and the start of the regular season on September 9.“

Also joining the show is Bruce Marshall, Editor of the Gold Sheet, as they break down the games in the NFL, MLB, and college football.“
How Circa Las Vegas Is Using Art & Design To Shine A Light On Sin City’s Colorful Past by Laura Parker of Forbes
“The property itself, from casino carpet to the art on the walls, is all one big howdy-do nod to the colorful, mad past of this glorious city and those who built it. You just have to know where to look. The hotel itself is an architectural marvel, spanning 1.25-million square feet with 777 rooms & suites, a two-story casino, the world’s largest sportsbook, Legacy Club, an impressive rooftop bar with stunning city views, the Stadium Swim pool amphitheater, and a high-tech parking garage dubbed Garage Mahal.“
Prolific Las Vegas NFL contest winner shares tips, strategies by Todd Dewey of Las Vegas Review-Journal
“Professional sports bettor Cris Zeniuk is riding a remarkable hot streak in NFL handicapping contests in Las Vegas. Zeniuk, aka Las Vegas Cris (@lasvegascris), claimed second and fifth place in the Circa Million II contest (3,148 entries) last season for $244,444 in prize money. He took 20th and 31st in the inaugural Circa Million (1,875 entries) and has hit 64 percent of his contest picks overall the last two years with a 212-120-8 ATS record on his four entries.“
The three best College Football Playoff bets as Week 0 kicks off by Sam Panayotovich of FOX Sports
“‘When we talk about sleepers, we end up talking about teams like Texas A&M, and they’re a stocked blue-blood program,’ Circa Sports sportsbook director Matt Metcalf told me. ‘There are no true sleepers. I’ve had a lot of people talk about Cincinnati. I would have them as an 18-point underdog against Alabama.’“
Circa Sports still faces $5.8M overlay in NFL contests by Todd Dewey of Las Vegas Review-Journal
“‘Circa Sports has guaranteed $10 million in prize money for its two $1,000-entry NFL handicapping contests. Less than two weeks before the registration deadline, the sportsbook faces a $5.8 million overlay. Circa had 2,232 entries Monday in the Circa Million III, which needs 4,000 entries to meet its $4 million guarantee. The book had 1,883 entries in Circa Survivor, which needs 6,000 entries to meet its $6 million guarantee.
‘With the way we believe we are pacing, we think we are a good favorite to reach the Circa Million III guarantee and a pretty decent-sized (underdog) to hit the Circa Survivor guarantee,’ Circa sportsbook operations manager Jeff Benson said. ‘As a gambler looking for positive expected value, I’d be all over trying to get as many entries into the Circa Survivor as possible.’ There are a maximum of three entries for Million and six for Survivor. Registration ends at 2 p.m. Sept. 11.“
