NFL Draft: What to Expect and Where to Watch in Vegas

Football Player Catching Football

The pro football draft is here, and the hope of a new season and a new franchise savior is upon us. The 2024 NFL Draft will be a fun watch, and it’ll encompass a few days in April. When you do a Watch NFL draft party, the best place to do it is in Vegas.

In this guide, we’ll break down some top players and show you how to succeed in your NFL draft betting. We’ll also showcase the best places to watch the draft in Vegas.

Top Players for the Pro Football Draft

Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Williams is this year’s prize at quarterback and the likely No. 1 overall pick. The former Heisman Trophy winner is seen as a potential generational talent. He threw for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns last season. In his three years in college, he threw just 14 interceptions. Equally adept in running and throwing, Williams possesses franchise-chasing ability.

Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

The son of Hall of Fame receiver Marvin Harrison, the younger Harrison is an explosive receiver who is considered ready to make an impact from the first game. He caught 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. Given his pedigree, he’s about as ready an NFL prospect as you can find.

Drake Maye, QB, UNC

Many players are battling for the second-ranked QB, and Maye likely has the inside track. After a stellar year in 2022, Maye did take a step back in 2023, throwing 14 fewer touchdowns and two more interceptions. Still, he has all the size, arm strength, and athleticism needed to succeed at the position.

Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Daniels, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, is also in the conversation to be the second quarterback taken. He was dominant in 2023, throwing for 40 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Before last season, he had thrown a total of 66 touchdowns over four previous seasons. Just one season of dominant production might cause some worry about how it will translate to the NFL, but there’s no doubt he has tremendous talent.

Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Bowers is the first two-time winner of the Mackey Award as the top tight end in college football. Though he missed a few games due to injury, he still managed to lead all tight ends in receiving yards after contact with 494. Bowers is a tremendously talented receiver and should easily be a Top 10 pick.

Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Arnold is an incredibly athletic and productive cornerback who played against top competition in the SEC. He had five interceptions and 17 passes defender and is an excellent tackler. Despite starting his career as a safety, Arnold has all the tools necessary to be a top-flight cornerback in the NFL.

Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Alt was a productive left tackle in three years at Notre Dame. He’ll be 21 for the entire rookie season, but he already plays above his age. He’s set to be a long-term stalwart on the line at one of the most important positions in the league.

Jared Verse, DE, Florida State

The extremely explosive Verse started his career at tiny Albany before transferring to Florida State. A high school tight end, he switched to defensive end at Albany, and his career took off. At Florida State, he had 13 career sacks and wins with his tremendous combination of strength and speed.

NFL Draft Betting

The most common bet type for NFL Draft betting is placing a prop bet on who will be the First Overall Pick. Bet options focus on the top draft prospects, especially at the skill positions. Betting options for prospects can include potential landing spots and draft spots. In addition to betting on First Overall Pick, you can place position-related bets. These can include betting on which players will be selected as first quarterback (QB), wide receiver (WR), or running back (RB), or betting on how many of a certain position will be selected in the first round.

In NFL Draft betting, like with betting the moneyline or the spread for games, you’re generally deciding between only two possible outcomes – either the Over/Under on draft position or the number of a certain position to be selected. Though there might not be much in terms of official NFL draft betting, you can still count on the energy at the sportsbooks, sports bars, and other sports spots to be high during these exciting few days.

In addition to the sportsbook and Stadium Swim at Circa Las Vegas, be sure to check out your Circa Sports options at the D, or one of the other Circa Sports locations in Las Vegas to place your bets in person.

If you can’t make it to Circa Sportsbook, you can place your bets using the Circa Sports Betting app. The app gives you access to live odds. You can download the app on iOS or Android to have your bookie right in your pocket and bet wherever you are in Las Vegas.
